BLACKWATERS - LONG WAY TO THE SUN - SINGLE REVIEW

'Long Way to the Sun' is Blackwaters' second release of 2019, following the release of 'I'm Not Your Man' in March.

It is quite a bit slower than Blackwaters' usual sound, as they are renowned for their thrashy punk sound, the ideal music to mosh to, however 'Long Way to the Sun' has more of an indie feel to it, and out of all of their songs, this would probably be their arena song. Its definitely a song I can imagine an arena/stadium of people singing back to Max, although it still manages to maintain the integrity of a punk song. This is definitely a new sound for Blackwaters, and I'm incredibly excited to see where they take it, as it shows that they're not just a loud, shouty punk band, and shows the versatility of both the band and of lead singer Max's voice.

Watch this space, Blackwaters have got much more new music coming and this is only the first installment of what's to come, keep your eyes peeled, you won't regret it.
